Monitoring power quality is critical business
Utilities, data centers and industrial plants need serious technology to meet the challenges
associated with monitoring power quality
• Meet power quality compliance standards
• Monitor power availability and reliability
• Reduce downtime
• Verify contractual performance commitments
• Increase profitability and optimize maintenance
• Analyze power quality data to:
- Troubleshoot and identify root cause
- Anticipate faults and detect disturbances
• Track and verify:
- Frequency stability and voltage variations
- Unbalances and noise
- Harmonics and interharmonics
Recent Projects:
1. LED Street lights Power Quality Audit (2016)
Based on Ontario Energy Board (OEB) new lighting program, Oakville Hydro replaced street lights from HPS lamps to LED lamps.
A full recording and analysis of all power quality indices was conducted to study this new trend impact on the grid.
